Ministru prezidents Krišjānis Kariņš un Francijas prezidents Emanuels Makrons

On Wednesday 1 December, Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš will leave for Paris (France) to meet with President of France Emmanuel Macron and Matthias Cormann, Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš and the President of France plan to discuss the current issues relating to regional security, the European Union, international relations, as well as bilateral relations between Latvia and France. A joint press briefing with the Prime Minister and the President of France is scheduled before the meeting. The press briefing will be live at: https://www.facebook.com/elysee.fr/  

The Prime Minister and the OECD Secretary-General intend to discuss the cooperation between Latvia and OECD to date and the opportunities to expand it. The officials will adddress the OECD’s foreign relations and the admission of new members. In addition, the OECD’s latest initiatives in the fields of environment and public governance will also be discussed.

Within the framework of the visit, interviews with the media are also scheduled for the Prime Minister.

 Strict epidemiological safety requirements will be observed during the visit.
