On Monday, May 6th, Prime Minister of Latvia Evika Siliņa will meet with the Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas, and Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė, in Rīga.

The Heads of Government plan to discuss security and defense challenges, issues on the EU agenda, support for Ukraine in its fight against Russia's aggression, economic cooperation, as well as the development of regional projects in the fields of energy and transport.

This 3+1 format has become a tradition where the Baltic leaders and the German Chancellor discuss current developments. It is aimed not only at strengthening cooperation between the Baltic States and Germany but also at coordinating joint action to tackle major international challenges.


To attend the meeting's media events, media are required to obtain special accreditation for each media representative.

Media must register by sending information required in the accreditation form no later than May 5, 2024 at 12.00 PM (noon). Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Media events are open to accredited media only.

When presenting a passport or ID card must be also presented at the entrance of the Cabinet of Ministers. Accredited media are required to follow the official dress code.
