On Tuesday, November 24, Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma took part in the Fourth Meeting of Prime Ministers of 16 Central and Eastern European countries and China in Suzhou, China. During the meeting, the necessary preconditions for broader cooperation among 16+1 countries, as well as the cooperation between the European Union and China, were discussed.

On Monday, November 23, Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma delivered an opening speech at the Latvia - China business forum in Shanghai where the officials discussed the bilateral cooperation in the fields of food export, transport and logistics.
Having arrived in Shanghai (China), Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma today met the leaders of Shanghai and about 50 Latvians living in Shanghai.
