Mr Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations will visit Riga on Monday, December 22. During the visit he will meet Prime Minister Ms Laimdota Straujuma, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Edgars Rinkēvičs, as well as the Chairperson of the European Affairs Committee of the Parliament Ms Lolita Čigāne and the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Mr Ojārs Kalniņš.
On Tuesday, December 16, in Belgrade – the capital city of Serbia, Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma met Prime Minister of China Li Keqiang, by emphasizing the active dialogue on cooperation between the two countries.
On December 16-17, the Heads of Government of 16 Central and Eastern European countries met in Belgrade (Serbia). This is already the third meeting of such cooperation format where the agreements are reached on specific cooperation projects. At this meeting the Belgrade's guidelines for future cooperation among 16 Central, Eastern European countries and China were adopted.
On Tuesday, December 16, in Belgrade, during the meeting with Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma stressed that Latvia appreciates Serbia's commitment and the accomplishments regarding the EU integration reforms, and encourages continuing the reforms.
