13.06.2012 V.Dombrovskis: the economic cooperation between Latvia and Great Britain should be expanded
Today, on June 12, during the meeting with Lord Stephen Green, Minister of State for Trade and Investment of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis stressed the need to expand the economic cooperation between Latvia and Great Britain, calling on the entrepreneurs of Great Britain to consider the development of manufacturing projects in Latvia and to intensify bilateral trade.

12.06.2012 Prime Minister of Latvia will call on the European Parliament to defend Latvia's interests regarding the EU budget
On Wednesday, June 13, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis in Strasbourg (France) will deliver a speech at the meeting of the largest political group of the European Parliament – "European People's Party". The Prime Minister will emphasize Latvia's priorities regarding the multiannual financial framework of the EU – to ensure the cohesion funding amount that is required for growth of Latvia and a level playing field for Latvian farmers in the common European market.

01.06.2012 Foreign investors appreciate the accomplishments in overcoming the crisis and call for implementation of a progressive policy
On Friday, June 1, the annual meeting of the Government and the Foreign Investors' Council in Latvia (FICIL) was held. The investors praised the Government's initiatives to improve the investment environment and called on the Government to continue transition from overcoming the crisis to sustainable growth. 23.05.2012 Farmers and Ministers Create a Vegetable Bed at the Cabinet of Ministers
Yesterday, farmers and government representatives opened a vegetable bed at the building of the Cabinet of Ministers, which symbolises the solidarity between townspeople and farmers. The activity has been named “Country Enters the City”. Instead of the traditional greenery with flowers at the Cabinet of Ministers, which is the central location in both a symbolic and literary sense, this year the bed will be filled with decorative vegetables.

21.05.2012 The 16th High Council Meeting
Over the past two years, Latvia has succeeded in stabilizing it's economy. In 2011, foreign investment tendencies returned to solid growth, positively affecting Latvian GDP growth for two years in a row. These tendencies will continue to grow in the foreseeable future. Positive ratios reduce uncertainty and give entrepreneurs a stable basis for planning and price determination. This has successfully created an open and attractive business environment for local and foreign businesses.
