On Sunday, April 15 - Monday, April 16, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis will pay a working visit to Denmark with a view to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.
Within the framework of the visit, the Prime Minister will meet Prime Minister of Denmark Helle Thorning – Schmidt to discuss the current EU developments, incl., the topics related to the cohesion policy and direct payments, economic cooperation as well as cooperation between the Nordic countries and its future.
The Prime Minister will meet Kurt Larsen, Chairman of the Board of the transport and logistics company DSV and will visit the company Better Place where Danish produced electric vehicles will be presented. The Prime Minister will participate in the discussion in the Baltic Development Forum (BDF), will outline the current situation in the economy of Latvia and inform about the measures to overcome the crisis and will participate in the solemn opening of the BDF’s new premises. The Prime Minister also plans to deliver a speech about economic challenges and development in the Baltics as well as about business opportunities for international companies at the conference organized by the Institute for Corporate Governance in Denmark.
The Prime Minister will return to Latvia on Monday, April 16.
