On March 7-8, an informal meeting of the Prime Ministers of the Baltic countries will be held in Prienai (Lithuania). The Prime Ministers will discuss the cooperation in the area of energy, incl., the progress in the Visaginas nuclear power plant construction project, as well as discuss other current developments of the Baltic cooperation.
Prime Minister of Latvia, Valdis Dombrovskis, Prime Minister of Estonia, Andrus Ansip and Prime Minister of Lithuania, Andrius Kubilius will inform the media about the issues discussed at the meeting on Thursday, March 8, at 11:30, in "Harmony Park" Centre, Prienai (Lithuania).
The meeting will be attended by representatives and experts of the three countries' energy companies. Within the framework of the meeting a presentation by the Baltic technology clusters on opportunities for cooperation in the Baltic region is planned.

Informal meetings of the Prime Ministers of the Baltic countries are held once a year in one of the three Baltic countries. The previous meetings were held in August, 2011 - in Vidzeme, in 2010 – in Tartu (Estonia), in 2009 – in Nida (a resort city in Lithuania).
