On Wednesday, February 8, the Latvian delegation under the guidance of Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis will leave for Stockholm to participate in discussions with the heads of government and experts of the United Kingdom, the Nordic and Baltic countries about common challenges in the social area, which are crucial to enhance the long-term national development.
This year the "Northern Future Forum" will address two issues: "How do we get More Women in Leading Positions and as Entrepreneurs?" as well as "How do we get Senior Citizens to Stay Longer in the Labour Force?"
The forum will be attended by the Prime Ministers of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and the United Kingdom and sector experts, incl., entrepreneurship and academic area. The participants of the forum will provide insight into the current situation as well as discuss long-term solutions.
Within the framework of the working visit, a meeting with representatives of the Latvian community in Stockholm and a visit to the international interior design exhibition “Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair” is scheduled.

It was organized by the government of the United Kingdom to share experiences between the United Kingdom, the Nordic and Baltic countries.
