On October 28-29, the European Council meeting was held in Brussels and Latvia was represented by Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis. The agenda of the European Council included the policy for the EU economic governance, preparation for G20 Summit, the Cancun Conference, as well as the EU-USA, the EU-Russia and the EU-Ukraine summits.
On October 28-29, in Brussels, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis will participate in the European Council meeting devoted to coordination and supervision of economic policy in the EU member states and the forthcoming summits with the strategic partners of the EU – USA, Russia and Ukraine,G20 Summit in Seoul and the Cancun Climate Conference.
On Thursday, October 14, in Rīga, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis met Ambassador of Portugal to Latvia João Luís Niza Pinheiro during his farewell visit.
On Tuesday, October 5, President of the European People’s Party Wilfried Martens congratulated the Prime Minister for the success in the 10th parliamentary elections.
