On Saturday, December 4, in Warsaw, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis paid a visit to the Senate of the Republic of Poland and met the Senator, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate, Marek Rocki and Leszek Kieniewicz, Director of the Office for International and European Union Affairs. The Prime Minister also attended the exhibition in the Senate - “One Day in Latvia”.
At the end of the day, the working dinner of the Prime Ministers of the Baltic countries was held. During the dinner the agenda of the forthcoming meeting with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, the introduction of the euro in Estonia on January 1, 2011 and the NB8 meeting with Prime Minister of Great Britain David Cameron scheduled for January 19-20, 2011 were discussed.
We have already informed about the Prime Minister’s planned working visit to Poland on December 4-5 with a view to discuss the implementation of regional energy projects. Today, on December 5, in Warsaw, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis will meet Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk and together with the Prime Minister of Estonia and the Prime Minister of Lithuania will participate in the working breakfast to discuss the current energy issues. At 13.10, the participation of the Prime Ministers of Poland and the Baltic countries in the press conference is planned.
Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis will return to Latvia in the evening of December 5.
