The Prime Minister will celebrate the New Year’s Eve in Estonia |
| At the invitation of Prime Minister of Estonia, Andrus Ansip, on Friday, December 31, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis and his spouse will leave for the New Year’s Eve celebration in Tallinn, at the same time celebrating Estonia’s accession to the Eurozone countries on January 1, 2011. |

Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis and the President of Ukraine agree to promote economic cooperation |
 On Wednesday, December 15, in Rīga, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis met President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich, who is paying one-day official visit to Latvia. Within the framework of the meeting, both parties agreed on the necessity to promote the cooperation between the two countries in economics and trade and discussed the development of transit and trade opportunities. |

| On December 16-17, in Brussels, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis will participate in the European Council meeting devoted to strengthening of economic governance and necessary amendments to develop a mechanism for overcoming the crisis, assessment of the pension reform in relation to implementation of the Stability and Growth Pact, the new multiannual financial framework, as well as assessment of relations with the strategic partners. |

The Prime Minister is paying a visit to the Senate of the Republic of Poland |
 On Saturday, December 4, in Warsaw, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis paid a visit to the Senate of the Republic of Poland and met the Senator, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate, Marek Rocki and Leszek Kieniewicz, Director of the Office for International and European Union Affairs. The Prime Minister also attended the exhibition in the Senate - “One Day in Latvia”. |

On Tuesday, December 21, in Rīga, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis met the new Ambassador of Ireland to Latvia Aidan Kirwan within the framework of his introductory visit. 
On Friday, December 10, in Rīga, a meeting of Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis, Prime Minister of Estonia Andrus Ansip and Prime Minister of Hungary Victor Orban was held. Within the framework of the meeting, the priorities of Hungary’s presidency of the EU, the economic situation and current issues of the forthcoming European Council meeting were discussed.
On Friday, December 10, in Rīga, within the framework of the conference, Prime Minister of Latvia Valdis Dombrovskis and Prime Minister of Estonia Andrus Ansip emphasized the potential for cooperation between the two countries.
On 10 December 2010 the Prime Minister of Latvia Valdis Dombrovskis and the Prime Minister of Estonia Andrus Ansip took part at the Latvian-Estonian Future Co-operation Report Stakeholders’ Conference in Riga.
On Sunday, December 5, in Warsaw, a meeting of the Prime Ministers of the three Baltic countries and the Prime Minister of Poland was held with a view to discuss the energy issues and agree on a joint action to reduce the energy isolation of the region.
