The Prime Minister continues the working visit to the USA |
| On Tuesday, June 15, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis met Joe Biden Vice President of the USA, who expressed his gratitude for Latvia’s membership in the international operation in Afghanistan and appreciation for Latvia’s accomplishments in overcoming the economic crisis. The Prime Minister and the Vice President of the USA were of the same opinion that the general policy of the USA toward Russia can be positively valued and is consistent with Latvia’s security interests.

The Prime Minister met the compatriots living in the USA |
| On Sunday, June 13, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis attended the memorial service for the victims of the deportations of June 14 in Washington. It was followed by the meeting of the Prime Minister and the Latvian community. The compatriots showed keen interest in current political and economic developments in Latvia. |

The Prime Minister of Latvia and the Prime Minister of Estonia agree on even closer future cooperation |
 On Friday, June 11, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis and Prime Minister of Estonia Andrus Ansip familiarized themselves with a report on future cooperation between Latvia and Estonia and recognized the prepared proposals. Within the framework of the visit, both officials met the entrepreneurs of Estonia and discussed the economic situation in Latvia and Estonia, cooperation in the energy sector and other areas. |

On Tuesday, June 22, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis met Raul Chilachava Ambassador of Ukraine to Latvia during his farewell visit.
On Monday, June 21, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis met Aivis Ronis Minister for Foreign Affairs to discuss the current foreign policy developments, especially the recent visit of the Head of Government to the USA and the visit of Guido Westerwelle Vice Chancellor of Germany to Latvia. After the two visits, the Prime Minister has come to a conclusion that the USA and Germany perceive Latvia as a strategic partner in a geopolitically important region, where it is of the utmost importance to restore the economic growth.
On Wednesday, June 16, in Washington, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis met the United States Deputy Secretary of Defence William Lynn.
On Tuesday, June 15, in Washington, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis met the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. During the meeting the Secretary of State expressed the willingness to strengthen partnership with Latvia.
On Friday, June 11, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis held a meeting with Guido Westerwelle Vice Chancellor and Foreign Minister of Germany to discuss bilateral relations and EU-related issues.
