Tomorrow, on June 12, Valdis Dombrovskis, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, will participate in the Baltic Economic Forum where representatives of the European Commission, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as of the largest Baltic companies and industries’ associations will concern the solutions for dealing with economic crisis in the Baltic States and whole Europe.
The forum will take place in hotel Radisson SAS Daugava.
From 9:40 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the forum’s first session is planned with participation of Latvian Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis and Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius.
Following the first session, at 11:00 a.m. a press conference is planned (in “Daugava” hall) with participation of V.Dombrovskis, A.Kubilius, and Henrik Hololei, Head of Cabinet of the Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Administration, Audit and Anti-fraud Siim Kallas.

The Baltic Economic Forum is an international event which is organised since 1999 and takes place in one of the Baltic States – Latvia, Lithuania, or Estonia. Since 2004, Rīga has become the permanent host city of the Forum. The Baltic Economic Forum is a traditional meeting place for government representatives, politicians and business leaders from the EU, the Baltic States, Russia, and CIS countries. The Forum is an event where leading decision makers of the public and private sector meet in order to promote entrepreneurship and create new business contacts.
The working language of the 10th Baltic Economic Forums is English.
