Tomorrow, on April 29, Ivars Godmanis, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, is holding a closing meeting of the mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This meeting will be participated by Rachel van Elkan, IMF mission chief for Latvia, Jens Henriksson, Executive Director of the Nordic-Baltic Constituency, and other officials of the IMF.
This will be the second meeting of the Latvian Prime Minister and representatives of the IMF during Fund’s mission in Latvia. It is planned to discuss the macro-economic situation in Latvia, the role of the fiscal policy in ensuring sustainable growth rate of the national economy and various aspects of competitiveness of the national economy.
The meeting is taking place at 4 p.m., on the 3rd floor of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers, in the Prime Minister’s Hall. A TV and photo opportunity is planned at the beginning of the meeting.
