| On March 30-31 Ivars Godmanis, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, will pay a working visit to Sweden and meet Frederik Reinfeldt, Prime Minister of Sweden, Anders Borg, Minister for Finance of Sweden, and Maud Oloffsson, Minister for Enterprise and Energy. The focus of this meeting will be on topical issues of the European Union, including energy and climate issues, development trends of the economic situation and cooperation perspectives within the Baltic Sea region. |

| Today, on March 12, Ivars Godmanis, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, is heading to Brussels to take part in the meeting of the European Council (March 13-14) where the heads of countries and governments of the European Union will discuss the Lisbon strategies, as well as issues regarding energy, climate, and financial market stability. |
