On December 7-8 this year, Aigars Kalvītis, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, participated in the meeting of the Prime Ministers’ Council of the Baltic Council of Ministers, in Vilnius, which was focused on energy supplies of the region, common energy sector policies and implementation of joint projects.
At the end of this meeting the Heads of Government signed a Joint Statement. After the meeting Aigars Kalvītis participated in a joint press conference of the three Baltic Prime Ministers.
Today, in Vilnius, the Prime Ministers of the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Estonia held a meeting with Jarosław Kaczyński, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, and discussed regional development, EU and NATO issues, as well as relations with neighbouring countries. During the meeting the Heads of Government of the three Baltic States and Poland agreed on a Joint Statement.
