Today, October 18, Aigars Kalvītis, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, met Jaak Jõerüüt, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Latvia, who paid Aigars Kalvītis an introductory visit.
The Prime Minister described the relations of Latvia and Estonia as very good and hoped that the new Ambassador of Estonia will contribute to further deepening of economic, political and cultural contacts.
Both sides discussed issues concerning bilateral relations, common interests in the European Union, in particular the position concerning the EU energy policy before the European Council meeting in Finland, as well as preparations for the NATO Summit in Rīga.
The Prime Minister wished Jaak Jõerüüt success in performing his work in Latvia.
