Foreign officials congratulate Aigars Kalvītis on repeated approval to the position of Prime Minister

Aigars Kalvītis has already received congratulations on repeated approval to the position of Prime Minister from George W. Bush, President of the United States, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Prime Minister of Denmark, and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of Turkey.

U.S. President George W. Bush together with his congratulations to Aigars Kalvītis also expresses hope to continue the existing cooperation in ensuring a safer, more democratic and prosperous world. The President notes that the U.S. highly appreciates the close cooperation with Latvia and its contribution to peacekeeping missions in Afghanistan, the Balkan region and Iraq. George W. Bush notes the constructive relationship with the Prime Minister of Latvia and hopes to see it also in future.

U.S. Ambassador to Latvia Catherina Todd Bailey also congratulates Aigars Kalvītis on his repeated election to the Prime Minister’s position.

Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen together with his congratulations notes that Europe stands before great challenges and close international cooperation is of vital importance in facing them. The Prime Minister of Denmark expresses confidence that the relations of both countries are strong and will successfully continue during the term of the new Government.

Prime Minister of Turkey R. T. Erdoğan expresses confidence that the bilateral relations of Latvia and Turkey and cooperation within the framework of international organizations, in particular the European Union and NATO, will develop and become stronger also in the future. The Prime Minister of Turkey wishes Aigars Kalvītis success in working for the benefit of Latvia.
