On Monday, May 29, at 11:00 a.m., in the „Reval Hotel Rīdzene” (Rīga, Reimersa Street 1), Aigars Kalvītis, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, will meet His Holiness Alexy II, Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia, who will be visiting Latvia on May 27-29 upon an invitation of the President of Latvia. Before the meeting a TV and photo opportunity is planned.
During the meeting it is planned to discuss issues concerning the Christian faith, relations between the church and the state, and the role of the Orthodox Church in Latvia.
