Today, December 20, Aigars KalvÄ«tis, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, met Zhang Limin, Ambassador of the PeopleâÀ™s Republic of China to Latvia, who paid Aigars KalvÄ«tis an introductory visit. The Prime Minister stressed LatviaâÀ™s interest in expanding economic relations with China, continuing the successful political dialogue, as well as promoting cooperation in education and culture. Aigars KalvÄ«tis noted that the Government is consistently implementing the One-China policy. The Prime Minister particularly stressed the opportunity to use LatviaâÀ™s transport infrastructure for ChinaâÀ™s trade with the European Union countries and develop Latvia as a logistics centre of the region.
