On Tuesday afternoon, August 30, Aigars Kalvītis, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, will go on a short visit to Gdansk following the invitation of Marek Belka, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, to participate in the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the Polish popular movement Solidarity. Aigars Kalvītis will participate in the international conference From Solidarity to Freedom, sign the document Chart of Foundation of the European Solidarity Centre and attend the official dinner hosted by Marek Belka. At the celebrations, on August 31, Aigars Kalvītis will meet the Polish Prime Minister Marek Belka and other prime ministers of European countries. The celebrations of the anniversary of Solidarity in Poland will be attended by current and former prime ministers and presidents of European Union countries, as well as other high-level officials from Europe and the United States. Aigars Kalvītis will return to Latvia on September 1.
